He is an internationally known researcher in motivation, personality, and interpersonal relations. His work on personality has focused on the dimensions of Extraversion/Introversion (E/I), Agreeableness/Disagreeableness (A/D), Conscientiousness (C), Neuroticism (N) and Openness to Experience (O). He is also interested in personality differences between men and women.
